In 2021, Windstar Cruises multi-million dollar Star Plus Initiative transformed Star Pride, adding 50 new suites, two new dining venues and extensive renovations throughout the vessel’s public spaces.

Star Pride Accommodation

Star Pride is an all-suite ship offering seven different categories, all of which come equipped with new-look ensuite bathroom facilities. There are 156 suites on Star Pride, most of which benefit from a private balcony for incredible views of the passing scenery and serene ocean vistas.

Every accommodation category provides ample storage space and features a Queen-size bed (convertible to twin beds on request), an ensuite bathroom with tub/shower, and a sitting area complete with a sofa, vanity mirror and flatscreen television. The larger suites, such as the Owner’s Suite, boast a separate dining area and a guest bedroom.

In terms of accessibility, Star Pride has four wheelchair-accessible suites conveniently located close to the ship’s elevators.

Star Pride Dining

Dining with Windstar Cruises is always a treat, so you can look forward to enjoying an array of memorable culinary experiences during your Star Pride cruise. The food served on Star Pride is freshly prepared by the ship’s expert chefs, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Those with specific dietary requirements are also well-catered, and every menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

Amphora

Amphora is the main dining venue on Star Pride. Situated on Deck 3, Amphora offers an extensive menu comprising regionally-influenced specialities and international favourites. Served course-by-course, you’re free to dine with whoever you wish, with no reservations required.

Veranda

The Veranda is one of the informal dining options on Star Pride. It offers indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is open during breakfast and lunch and serves a variety of buffet options and a selection of à la carte dishes.

Candles

Candles is open during the evening, providing an intimate outdoor space for guests looking to enjoy mouthwatering steak and seafood dishes.

Star Grill by Steven Raichlen

Star Grill is a new-to-Windstar concept designed by Steven Raichlen. The restaurant provides outdoor seating and a menu consisting of made-to-order grilled meats, fish dishes, and fresh salads.

Cuadro 44

For an authentic taste of Spain, head to Cuadro 44. Offering space for just 38 guests on a reservation-only basis, Cuadro 44 provides a communal dining experience designed by multi-Michelin star winner Anthony Sasso. Here, you can enjoy tapas, sharing platers and perfectly-paired wines while enjoying views of the chef’s preparation station.

Room Service

Room service is available 24 hours a day on Star Pride should you wish to dine in your suite or order from a menu of snacks and light bites outside of main mealtimes.

Star Pride Entertainment & Facilities

Life on Star Pride is relaxed and unhurried, allowing you to do as much as you wish. The onboard entertainment programme is relatively low-key, with the crew leading guests in activities such as cooking classes, quizzes, and card games. Those with a passion for water sports will love the retractable marina, which allows for complimentary use of the ship’s paddleboards, kayaks and snorkel equipment should the weather permit.

Throughout the day, the Pool Deck is one of the most popular public areas on Star Pride, especially with the new infinity pool, which grants splendid views of nearby ports and passing ocean scenery. On Deck 7, you’ll find the reimagined World Spa by Windstar, where you can enjoy a range of pampering treatments in a truly idyllic setting. Elsewhere, the fitness centre has the latest gym equipment should you want to work up a sweat during a lazy sea day.

In the evening, you’ll find performances from local musicians in The Lounge, while Compass Rose and the Star Bar are both open during the evening for pre or post-dinner drinks.
