Oceania Cruises has updated its dress code to reflect the evolving style of today’s travellers. The new guidelines strike a balance between elegance and comfort, making it easier than ever to dress for the occasion – day or night.

The updated dress code will take effect on 1st September 2025 across the fleet. It offers more clarity and flexibility while keeping the onboard atmosphere refined yet relaxed.

When Does the New Dress Code Begin?

The changes will apply to voyages departing on or after the following dates:

Daytime Dress Code: Relaxed and Polished

Daywear on board should be smart-casual and breathable. Guests are encouraged to dress in light, comfortable fabrics such as linen and cotton blends.

Suitable daytime options include:

• Sundresses and maxi dresses
• Polo shirts and blouses
• Tailored shorts
• Lightweight trousers or chinos

Swimwear is welcome by the pool, but guests should wear a cover-up when walking through indoor areas or entering any dining venue.

Evening Dress Code: Smart, Refined and Comfortable

Evenings call for refined, modern attire. There’s no need for formalwear, but guests are expected to dress with a sense of occasion.

For ladies:

• Dresses or jumpsuits
• Stylish tops with skirts or trousers
• Fashionable, non-distressed jeans
•Dressy sandals, pumps or fashion trainers

For gentlemen:

• Collared shirts or dressy polos
• Tailored trousers or dark jeans
• Loafers, dress shoes or smart trainers
• Optional lightweight sweaters or sports coats

Note: Shorts and t-shirts are only permitted in the Terrace Café and Waves Grill after 6 pm.

Additional Guidelines to Keep in Mind

To help maintain a sophisticated onboard environment, please note the following:

• Robes and slippers are for in-stateroom use only
• Flip-flops and athletic trainers are not allowed in restaurants or public areas after 6 pm
• Baseball caps are not permitted in the Grand Dining Room or speciality restaurants at dinner (but are fine in casual venues)
• Torn, distressed, or acid-washed jeans are not suitable for evening wear
